What Do You Get From Christianity That Is Unique?

A friend recently asked me the question “what do you get from Christianity that you can’t get anywhere else?”  This is a tough question.  Sure, you can give all the answers like “Jesus” and “salvation from my sins”, etc.  But the concept of salvation and a messiah is not unique to Christianity.  So what is it that draws you towards Christianity in a unique way that all other religions in the world do not have?

I am very interested in your thoughts on this.  What is it about Christianity that is truly unique, and what do you feel you get out of it that you can’t get elsewhere?  Why choose Christianity above every other option?

  1. I would point to the incarnation, the cross, and the resurrection as some things that set apart this God from any other. His humility, love to serve, and willingness to sacrifice himself for our sake is very unique.
